What We Do

We provide specialized consultation to you and your family doctor on how to best manage your HIV care. After every appointment you have in our clinic, we will send a detailed letter to your family doctor.

Our goal is to empower you to meet your personal health goals. Our care is based on the principles of accessibility, comprehensiveness, health promotion and patient satisfaction. If you are interested in an approach that we have not offered, please let us know so that we can determine if we can arrange this for you. If you do not agree with one of our recommendations, please let us know so that we can make alternate suggestions.

Our clinic brings together the most-needed HIV services under one roof, provided by our team of medical specialists, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, occupational therapist and dietician. You can arrange an individual consultation with any of these health care professionals in our clinic. We can also refer you to other specialists or allied health professionals at UHN. Our clinic also has a retail pharmacy.

We may recommend additional care that is not available in the community, which may include the latest approaches in treatment.

Referrals

Please note that only physicians may send a referral. Please fax a referral letter and a summary of current lab tests to 416 340 4890 when referring your patient.

Our office will call you with information about the patient's first appointment. Your office is responsible for providing the patient with the appointment information, including time and location, and important documents, test results and imaging that they must bring.

Please note that clinic appointments may be virtual visits. The clinic team will let you know what type of appointment is appropriate for your care. If you need to cancel your appointment, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance, so that someone else can benefit from this available time. You can leave us a voice message 24 hours/day.
