Simcoe Prenatal Classes

The Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit is happy to offer our community a combination of online and in-person prenatal classes.

You can take the free online classes conveniently from home and choose to combine them with our three in-person classes. There is a fee for the in-person prenatal classes. The prenatal program is available for residents of Haldimand and Norfolk counties.

In-person Prenatal Class

Fees: Each session consists of 3 classes. The total cost per session is $50.50, which includes the pregnant mom and support person. Financial consideration is available.

Our in-person classes are designed to complement the eClasses and are a great addition to the information that you will be learning. The classes are facilitated by a Public Health Nurse and will allow you to practice the skills learned in the eClasses, have all your questions answered and meet other expectant parents in your community.

Topics covered in our in-person classes include:

• Comfort measures for labour and birth
• The birth experience
• Infant feeding
• Life with a newborn
• Coping skills as new parents

The prenatal classes are offered by the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit in partnership with the Early ON Child & Family Centres.
