Operation Come Home is an employment, education, and support centre for homeless and at-risk youth age 16 and up.

Services Offered:

  • The John Bosco Achievement Centre (JBAC) Schooling using transitional educational model to engage street involved youth in academic studies outside of the traditional classroom setting.
  • Career Works employment navigation program for youth ages 16 to 29 that are seeking employment support(s).
  • JobsFirst 18-week employment program which serves youth ages 16 to 29 who self-identify or have been diagnosed with a disability.
  • The Youth Employment Works (YEW) program 16- week supported employment program which assists vulnerable youth between the ages of 16-29 to prepare, find and retain meaningful employment.
  • The Housing Based Case Management program accessible to youth ages 16 to 24. Provides individualized supports in order to assist homeless and/or at-risk youth in obtaining stable, safe, affordable, long-term housing.
  • The Housing Support Program for youth ages 16 and 17 who have current involvement with the Children’s Aid Society (CAS), past CAS involvement or who are eligible for CAS supports and services that are not currently involved with CAS
  • BottleWorks free commercial and residential bottle pick up service, that collects over half a million refundable alcohol containers each year. Works with youth.
  • FoodWorks Ottawa a social enterprise that aims to engage at-risk youth in Ottawa in the development of culinary skills.
  • Reunite Youth must be between the ages of 16-25 and looking to return home to their parents and/or guardians to regain long term support and stability.
